Imagine one year from today...

January 1st is the most arbitrary of days. Why does that one day signify the beginning of the year? I have a different option, what if the beginning of your year is September 1st. It is as random as January 1st. So, pause right now and imagine what you WANT your life to look like on September 1st, 2023. Yes, really. Sit down right now and imagine what life looks like. Are you exactly where you are right now? If the answer is yes, is that what you want? If they answer is NO or HELL NO, then what are you going to do about it?

I heard a statement recently and it is a little morbid, but I hope it hits the point.

PERSON 1: You only die once

PERSON 2: Really, you only LIVE once.

If you are going through the motions of your life, NOW is the time to makea change.

Did you know that you have 60,000-70,000 thoughts EVERY SINGLE DAY.

If you have the same thoughts every day. They will always lead to the same choices. These same choices utliamtely lead to the same behaviors and those same behaviors lead you to right where you are right now.

So, if you want to start by changing your life, you have to start by changing your thoughts. Start by identifying the person you want to be and create statements like 'I am a person who (fill in the blank).

  • Eats one vegetable at every meal

  • Works out 4x a week

Whatever type of person you want to be, starting living life as that person. Not tomorrow, tomorrow never comes, start today!

If you start today and make a 1% improvement every day, in one year that is a 365% improvement.

Start small and attainable.

"I am a person who eats healthy" starts with one meal a day that has a protein, fat and fiber. ONE MEAL A DAY. Do that for a week and then make one meal a day magically turn into TWO. Within a month MORE meals have a protein, fat and fiber, than don't. Aim for progress NOT perfection!

Start today. Step #1!
