Habit Change is the SMART path to long-term HEALTH!

I have been so jazzed this week being in touch with the people who joined my Establishing a Healthy Foundation Course. (If you want in next time, you can join the waitlist by emailing me jillwashecka@gmail.com!)

What these people are starting to see and understand in regards to creating their ideal self is that:

  • diets work, until they don't because you stop participating

  • tracking every morsel of food works, until you become overwhelmed or go out and forget and then you stop

  • cutting out everything chocolate works, until your period.

  • curtailing the weeknight drinking for a bit works until #kids.

I heard this great analogy this week that I wanted to share with you. Wheny ou get motivated by something to change, you light a match! Example, you go to put on regular clothes and "thanks #covid," they no longer fit. You decide that you will workout 5 days a week, before the kids get up AND no more drinking during the week. Match is lit, Monday you get up, kick butt workout, you reach for the wine that night, but then you remember. This pattern might even have success for a few days, but then #life and the light of the match (the motivation) goes out. You forget why you started in the first place and you go back to square one. I talked about this in my blog post last week. Creating new habits for good.

Those ideas listed above all have very controlled and limited structure and are sustainable for a period of time, but you know what happens when you 'fall off.' You start to feel like $h&t again. Aren't you sick of that cycle? Diet, Lose weight, feel great? Off diet, Gain weight....for all eternity?

What if there was another way?

There is!

Change your habits. Ok, what habits?

Well, what kind of person do you want to be? Do you want to be a person who eats healthy most of the time? Do you want to be a person who moves your body most days of the week? What kind of person do you want to be? Step #1 is figuring that out. Then, what habits does that type of person do? What does a person who eats healthy most of the time do most of the time? Maybe they put spinach in their smoothies. Ok, start there. Start putting spinach in your smoothies. START SMALL. Your current habits were not built over night and they will not change overnight.

Part of the process is making a connection to the food that is going into your body and HOW your body reacts to the food. You have to take the opportunity to slow down and listen. There is no one program that will work for everyone because everyone is different! Literally, no two people are the same and they can and will react to different stimulus in different ways.

I can help you change your habits and start to feel better. I can help you become the person you want to be. Click here to set up a FREE CHAT to discuss where you are and where you want to be!
